Diptych, Disguise & Adornate is a collaboration by Another Africa's, Missla Libsekal and UK based milliner, Keiron Levine, (k.l.v.)

From rituals of The Masquerade, in particular the rich traditions found throughout West Africa the duo created this three part project to look at the global culture of adornment. Diptych is a visual study, juxtaposing traditional West African masquerading with contemporary fashion, art and nature. disGUISE, (disguise.tumblr.com) a curated tumblr blog exploring the language of creativity in contemporary disguises. The series culminates with Adornate, a series of new imagery inspired by traditional African masqueraders created by k.l.v. in collaboration with Libsekal as muse.

Missla Libsekal (b. Addis Ababa, Ethiopia) is a creative business consultant and producer based in NY. In 2010, she launched the self-initiated online platform and contemporary magazine, Another Africa to showcase the wealth of cultural and artistic endeavours originating from and inspired by the continent, Africa. In April 2012, London based Arise magazine featured her naming Libsekal a ‘Talent Scout’ and Another Africa as the go-to resource for the latest on creative African talent.
